Your Menopause Doctor Stephanie
“If you love your work, if you enjoy it, you’re already a success” - Jack Caneld. Dr. Gordon truly loves the work she is privileged to do. "The best part of my job is really listening to patients to figure out their goals and help them get there quickly”. Stephanie Gordon, MD has been in practice in Southeast Metro Atlanta region for over 23 years. Her patients report her to be an excellent listener, direct and intelligent, and up to date on the latest data for evidence-based care. An Atlanta native, she graduated from Georgia Tech in Molecular Biology and Genetics, graduated from Mercer University School of Medicine, where she was in the top 10 % of her class and in AOA Honor Society, and completed Ob/Gyn residency at Washington University in St. Louis. She was one of only 10 physicians in Georgia to become Board Certified in Urogyncology when it was first offered in 2013. She is also a Menopause Society Board Certified Physician. Since then, she has built a 6 provider practice taking care of women’s concerns about pelvic health, pelvic pain, broids, prolapse, incontinence, menopause, sexual health, and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Gordon has served on the Board of Directors for Piedmont Rockdale hospital, and she was the Robotic Surgery Chair for over 10 years. She performs surgery in her office and also operates at Piedmont Henry hospital. She is a proud graduate of Leadership Henry and Leadership Georgia. Dr. Gordon is a volunteer at Hands of Hope free medical clinic and serves on the Soccer in the Streets Board. As a side gig (but a fun one), she and her husband own an independent bookshop - Story on the Square-in McDonough. She relishes her time at the lake, loves to travel widely, and misses her three daughters, who are all away at college now. Lucy and Winston are her sweet Golden Retrievers, and keep her company in a newly empty nest.
